Last year, our Budget & Finance team encouraged our church body to chart a rather challenging course, increasing our 2016-2017 budget by 9.2% over the previous year. Our budget increase provided funding for our many ministries to attain their goal to reach people for Christ in our church, our community and around the world. On paper, it may not have looked promising or realistic last March to take on such a budget increase. Yet, here we are…very close to meeting our budget established last year. Meeting our budget speaks volumes about you and your willingness to support FBCRR, our pastor and our staff. It also says more about what God is doing amongst our people at First Baptist!

Our church has proven so faithful in giving over the years. After this past week, we’re about 4.4% shy---roughly $ 92,000---of our budgeted goal of $ 2.2 million. Additionally, our church has reduced the principal on our note from about $ 1,453,000 at the end of February, 2016 to approximately $ 1,187,000 as of March 5, 2017---a reduction of over $250k, putting us a full 25 months ahead of payment schedule! What a blessing it will be to close our budget year on a positive note, removing the shortfall as we head into our new budget year.
