A mentor is someone farther on down the road from you, who is going where you want to go, and who is willing to give you some light to help you get there!
Why be a mentor?
- You have the advantage of age, spiritual maturity, life experiences and wisdom. Others could benefit from hearing your life story.
- It’s a good way to stay connected to a younger generation and an opportunity to learn from them. Impress your children and grandchildren with what you learn about their generation.
- You probably have a God-given nurturing quality that is wonderfully developed and that some young lady needs.
- Your maturity and life experiences are the credentials for this relationship.
Why would I want to be mentored?
- I want to have someone to call for support and wisdom.
- I want a role model who can give me hope that lifelong marriage is possible.
- I need encouragement and advice from someone who has been there before.
- I want to be a Godly woman and have a Godly home.
- I would like the friendship of an older woman who bases life on God’s principles.
