Dr. Dustin Slaton
Pastor Dustin was called to be the Pastor at First Baptist Round Rock in January 2021. From the beginning, his hope for FBC was that we would be all about Jesus. He has led us to have a vision of being A Church where Every Person in our City can Experience New Life in Jesus. His dream for First Baptist is that it would be organically multigeneration and multiethnic. He hopes to see the influence of FBC extend beyond its downtown location through campuses and partnerships with other churches in revitalization and church planting.
Dustin is married to Melody, and they have four wonderful kids. Dustin and Melody are northeast Texas natives, who love their home state, but also have a special place in their hearts for Colorado. The Colorado mountains are where they spent their first two years of marriage.
Dustin has a Bachelor’s in Theology from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR, as well as an Advanced Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Philosophy in Church Vitalization from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. In addition to pastoring FBCRR, he also is an Adjunct Professor at Howard Payne University – New Braunfels.
On Sundays, you can often find Pastor Dustin hanging out around the sanctuary, excited to talk with members and guests about FBC and about what God is doing in their lives. He’d love to talk with you too, so be sure to come find him this Sunday!
